Qualifications
- Preferred construction project experience of 7 years or equivalent experience.
- Experienced in building and managing Construction trades and ability to work within professional field teams
- Preferred Communication skills with clients, Subcontractors and internal teams
Responsibilities.
- Manage and execute a project value of up to $2mm depending on contract
- Written and computer skills, with moderate understanding of excel, word, and some SAP
- Understanding the process to develop and execute a Safety Activity Plan project specific
- Cascade the construction execution plan and participation of implementing it within the project
- Hold DFL craft and Foreman's accountable to a project specific Inspection and Testing Plan
- Working ability within a Professional staff associated within the project including but not limited to, Construction Manager, Construction superintendent, Project controls, Quality, Safety, field Eng., Project accounting and Materials management.
- Ability to help with some portions of the Development of an indirect staff and craft labor plan
- Participate within site Construction meetings with CM/PM, Superintendent and client
- Assist in the final project walk an inspections pre/post construction.
- Able to assist in generating all or some data with an estimate to Assist Sups, CMs and PMs with C.O. requests on materials needed, manpower needs and durations for Electric Heat Trace, Insulation, Steam Tracing, Power distribution and Instrumentation
- Ability to work and execute to a 3 day look ahead plan and schedule
- Knowledge of constructability plans to support construction execution.
- Assist Engineering on assigned project with specific install knowledge and best practices
- Ability to perform 3D isometric sketches of piping and equipment, field take offs of
- Elect Heat Trace and power distribution and estimated Insulation BOM
- Assist with Recruiting for TIMCO employees
- Local labor force
- I-9 verification
- Understand required completion documentation needed and how to complete associated forms for the project completion turn over to the client
- Capable of maintaining a construction punch list with all associated close out documents
- Hold project craft labor accountable to Chemelex QA/QC program on assigned project.
- Perform reviews on project craft labor but not limited to; Foreman levels on performance/accountability and safety.
- Ability to update some or all project budgets, and cascade to lower craft supervision accurate reporting on control process to measure project health,
- Product knowledge with ability to train on specialty applications around, Heat Trace, Instrumentation, Steam Tracing applications.
- Promote project wide with lead by example, Chemelex Safety First Culture and "STOP WORK AUTHORITY" to all craft labor and Foreman levels.
- Lead by example by attending and holding all Foreman's and Craft labor accountable to chemelex Safety requirements but not limited to i.e., Weekly safety reports, daily JSA's, weekly safety meetings, first aid requirements, injury reports and near miss reports Etc.
- Be able to vet all new/existing employees' efficiency's (PF) including but not limited to, qualifications an application knowledge of perspective position Foreman or craft level they currently are established at.
- Evaluate all Craft levels new/existing employee's safety culture to see if it aligns with company standards.
- Understanding most rules per NEC/NFPA requirements, along with OSHA training and guidelines.
- Hold Valid TDLR electrical license if applicable, additional states may or may not be required depending on local and state laws.
- Industry knowledge of Electrical installation practices, with understanding of some Insulation applications but not limited to:
- Conduit takeoffs and installations
- Heat Tracing
- Wire sizing and take offs
- Transformer requirements
- Grounding requirements
- MCC general knowledge
- Panelboard requirements
- Communication circuits and installations
- Conduit routing & wire sizing per NEC requirements C1D1 /C1D2

- Insulation blanket requirements for heat trace applications and other applications

- Support in all material requisition required for the project.
- Identify Material Management requirements for the project but not limited to; Laydown areas, material movers, equipment to support material movement efforts Etc.
- Knowledge and capability's to interpretate customer material and installation specifications, Electrical, Insulation services and Instrumentation. In addition, ability to hold accountable and cascade to all field Craft labor to make sure the project is following the correct spec for the project. (Note: this always tends to end in a change order to the client).
- Provide Craft labor and foreman's training on reading Chemelex Heat Trace Isos, adder charts, Max Heat Trace lengths per product line. In addition, Chemelex/Raychem installation practices but not limited to; Pumps, INST, equipment, piping of all sizes, Multipass applications, High temp applications (MI), Heat Trace Buffered applications, guidance of properly testing "meggering/ohm" Heat Trace plus installation of power and end termination kits.
- Capable to read and understand Electrical one line diagrams with understanding what the symbols mean, electrical equipment drawings, panel board drawings Etc.
- Provide Craft labor and Foreman's training on all electrical installations and fabrication requirements per Code and industry standard Installations listed above.
- Train and provide guidance on how to read P&IDs for flow paths and line temps in the event a Heat Trace circuit needs to be extended from an Engineered drawing provided.
- Assist in training Craft DFL/FM on trouble shooting skills of Heat Trace installations.
- General understanding of Commissioning requirements for the project and cascading to the team whether we are doing basic requirements, Meg test, Amp/Voltage readings, programing, heat up temps on empty piping and or equipment. Compared to a full-on unit start up comparing unit operation temps to engineering provided temps, adjusting maintain temps and alarm settings.
- Ability to provide training on Programming on most chemelex Heat Trace control schemes Heat trace controllers and panels to Craft DFL and Foreman's.
- Assist with the guidance and training on how to generate and draw 3D as builds for engineering to craft foreman.
- Ability recognize and stop installation if Insulation requires a reduction from Engineered required thickness due to interferences.
- Provide Craft DFL and foreman's training in instrumentation but not limited to; analyzers tubing bundle installations, High and Low Taps, slope requirements, proper setting on tubing fitting Etc.
- Provide assist with and facilitating training to DFL Craft/ foreman's on all Industry knowledge of electrical installation practices some Insulation applications listed above and/or required for the project.
- Capable of managing scaffold needs and requests for the project.
- Ability to step in and oversee the electrical portion of the project in the event the insulation general foreman is off site
- Provide Equipment training to DFL but not limited to, Man lifts Forklifts etc.
