The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mergers & Acquisitions associate to join the Finance & Transactions team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. About You:
- You have at least 5 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, primarily focused on private company M&A/private equity/venture capital work;
- Your experience includes private equity/sponsor clients on the acquisition, disposition and growth equity/VC sides;
- You have experience with equity owner agreements and general commercial agreements;
- You are able to own all phases of the deal lifecycle from the term sheet stage through closing and post-closing integration, leading drafting and negotiation of core transaction documents (e.g. purchase agreements, operating and partnership agreements and other deal documentation);
- You can provide day-to-date general counsel portfolio companies and other clients across various industries (please provide specific industries);
- You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously;
- You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials; and
- You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in the applicable jurisdiction (New York).

Compensation:
- $300,000 - $330,000 annual base salary
