Position Purpose |
To serve as a resource for Center-wide projects that promote the Center's engagement with the broader Dartmouth community and external stakeholders. In particular, provides programming support to the Political Economy Project collaboration initiated in 2025.

The Program Coordinator will provide critical assistance to the Rockefeller Center public programs team! |
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp |
Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience |
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities |
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated writing/research skills with experience creating email and social media communication.
- Demonstrated experience designing promotional materials and printed assets for public programs and events, including high proficiency in social media platforms.
- Availability to staff late afternoon and evening programs, and work flexible work hours.
- Proficiency with website management.
- Experience with event development, planning, and implementation.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple project timelines.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff, and students in determining and carrying out program needs.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, plan and prioritize work, make decisions and respond appropriately to pressure, deadlines, and changes in priorities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with current office technology (e.g. MS Office suite, Dropbox, Slack)
- Budget management skills.
- Ability to transport program participants (valid driver's license required).
- Ability to physically assist with program set up and clean up (includes moving furniture, signage, food and beverage, etc.).
- Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a highly autonomous setting.
- Prior experience with event planning and management.
- Experience in Adobe Suite including Adobe Express and other design platforms (Canva or similar).
- Experience and comfort with social media marketing.

Key Accountabilities
Description |
Outreach and Marketing
- Works with the Assistant Director of Public Programs to expand the public program communication strategy in order to maximize the visibility of the Rockefeller Center Public Programs/Political Economy Project and to invite a diverse audience including faculty, staff, students and communities from the surrounding areas of New Hampshire and Vermont to Rockefeller Center programs using best practices for awareness, engagement and attendance.
- Acts as communications liaison, working with the Political Economy Project, Rockefeller Public Programs team, Rockefeller Center Communications Manager and Dartmouth College Central Communications department. Acts as point of contact for questions regarding communications and publicity with speakers bureaus as needed.
- Creates printed and digital assets for all Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center Public Programs as requested, including posters, social media posts, invitations, and programs for events.
- Manages the Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center Public Programs presence content on The Rockefeller Center/ Political Economy Project websites, including calendar updates, event updates and archiving, and related news stories.

Description |
Event Logistics Support
- Works with Assistant Director of Public Programs to make sure all logistics and event setups are in place for the Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center Public Programs.
- Staffs the Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center Public Programs, providing assistance to visiting speakers/guests and attendees.
- Works with internal and external vendors to provide audio/visual support, catering support, accommodations and travel support for Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center events.
- Works with student photographers, as well as and professional photographers on-site at Political Economy Project/Rockefeller Center Public Programs to make sure events are successfully captured in photo.
- Helps coordinate and manage student assistant staffing at events.
- Provides back-up program support to other Co-Curricular programs as needed.

Description |
Administration and Finance
- Responsible for maintaining event communications budget and submitting expenses related to all Public Programs communication.
- Participates and contributes to weekly planning meetings with the Rockefeller Center Public Programs team and entire Rockefeller Center staff.
- In collaboration with Assistant Director of Public Programs, hires and supervises student program assistant(s) to assist with event administration and research related to potential speakers.
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
