We're looking for a talented and driven Photographer/Video Producer to help shape the visual voice of our brand. You'll capture the real moments, faces, and experiences that define our campuses-from the excitement of student life to the passion of our faculty and staff. This is more than just shooting photos and rolling video. It's about crafting compelling multimedia content that resonates across digital platforms, social media, internal communications, recruitment campaigns, and more. If you're a visual storyteller with a sharp creative eye, strong technical know-how, and a passion for turning ideas into engaging content, we want you on our team. The Photographer/Video Producer will maintain an organized catalog of all photography and video assets for Marketing and Communications, providing approved imagery for campus-wide access. This role is responsible for creating compelling multimedia content, including student and campus stories, internal announcement videos, social media promos, recruitment pieces, training modules, and other system-wide projects. The ideal candidate will apply industry best practices across all phases of production-pre-planning, content capture, post-production, and on-time delivery-while collaborating closely with stakeholders to align on creative vision, manage timelines in Basecamp, and ensure consistent communication throughout each project. Additional responsibilities include scouting locations, coordinating talent, securing release forms, and operating and testing all necessary production equipment. The Photographer/Video Producer will also guide other departments and student groups on how to create on-brand content independently. This position involves managing all aspects of production logistics, directing various types of shoots, and overseeing post-production editing including video, sound, motion graphics, and effects. Ensuring safety protocols on set and staying current on industry trends, editing styles, and content platforms are also essential to success in this role. Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video and digital storytelling within integrated marketing campaigns, with the ability to tailor content to various audiences and platforms. They must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and experience working within established brand guidelines. Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite-especially Premiere, Photoshop, and Lightroom-is essential, along with hands-on experience using a range of professional equipment, including Canon 5D DSLR, GoPro Hero 11, Rokinon cine-lenses, DJI Ronin stabilizers, LED lighting kits, green screen studios, and professional audio tools. A solid grasp of video production workflows, from pre-production and scripting to studio and field shooting, lighting, editing, and final output, is required. Candidates should be highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects under pressure, and comfortable leading production teams. Strong computer literacy, collaborative and independent work ethic, flexibility with scheduling and travel, and the ability to deliver high-quality creative content on tight deadlines are all essential. Familiarity with animation and motion graphics is a plus. The successful candidate will embody and support the student-first philosophy, contributing to the overall success of Baker College while acting as a positive role model and brand ambassador both on and off campus.
