Job Title: AV-PC Technician

Department: IT Operations
Reports To: IT Operations Supervisor
Location: Crystal Mountain
Job Type: Full-Time / Year-Round

Position Summary:

The AV-PC Technician plays a critical role in supporting the technological infrastructure of the ski resort, including audiovisual systems, personal computing devices, and point-of-sale (POS) systems. This position ensures reliable operation of AV equipment for resort events and meetings, provides hands-on support for staff and guests, and maintains POS systems used in retail, rental, and food & beverage operations. The technician must be able to ski or snowboard to access and service equipment located across mountain terrain.

Key Responsibilities:

AV Support:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain AV equipment for resort events, meetings, and digital signage.
  • Provide technical support for video conferencing systems in administrative and guest-facing areas.
  • Troubleshoot AV issues and perform routine maintenance in lodges, conference rooms, and outdoor venues.

PC Support:
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals for resort staff.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including device setup and user account provisioning.

POS Support:
  • Install and maintain POS systems used in ticketing, retail, rentals, and food & beverage outlets.
  • Troubleshoot POS hardware/software issues and coordinate with vendors for escalations.
  • Ensure up time and performance of POS systems during peak operational periods.

Mountain Operations Support:
  • Provide IT support with lift operations, patrol stations, and remote facilities.
  • Ski or snowboard to access equipment located on-mountain, including lift shacks and remote kiosks.
  • Perform routine checks and emergency repairs in varying weather conditions.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or technical certification in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in AV, PC, and POS support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
  • Familiarity with AV systems such as Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, or Crestron.
  • Experience supporting POS systems (e.g., Siriusware, Square, RTP, or similar).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard proficiently to access mountain-based equipment.
  • Ability to lift and transport AV/PC/POS equipment across resort terrain.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., FreshService, Jira).
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
  • AV or POS certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with resort operations and seasonal workflows.


Working Conditions:
  • On-site support across resort facilities including lodges, lifts, and remote stations.
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions and mountain terrain.
  • Flexible schedule includes weekends, holidays, and peak season coverage.
