Taft is seeking a Manager of Legal Recruiting to work with our team.

We are seeking a Manager of Legal Recruiting with 3+ years of administrative experience to work with our team in Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience. All Taft employees operate under a "Client First" philosophy - in all things, we seek to provide exceptional services to our clients.

Essential Duties:



  • Advances recruiting strategies set forth by the Chief Recruiting Officer and firm leadership.
  • Manages and participates in Meet the Employer events.
  • Manages 1L and 2L recruiting efforts, both on-campus and in-house.
  • Manages the Indianapolis summer associate program, and law school events.
  • Assists in the implementation of the firm's strategic hiring initiatives.
  • Establishes, maintains, and builds relationships with third-party recruiters.
  • Tracks recruiting metrics and refine data-gathering efforts.
  • Works with recruiting team on strategic initiatives, including analyzing attrition and creating innovative ways to retain talent and develop training.
  • Supports recruiting team with event planning for summer program.
  • Manages applicant database.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • A college degree or equivalent is required.
  • Experience working in a professional services, legal or law firm setting.
  • Strong communication and organization skills with superior interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and confidence and establish strong professional relationships.
  • Superior judgment and ability to problem solve.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to connect people internally.
  • Ability to take initiative and build new processes and approaches.
  • Client service mindset.
  • Strong to advanced technology skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing demands and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic professional who displays a high level of maturity, a confidential nature, and a proactive work ethic.
