Manager, Business Process Automation

As a Manager within the Business Process Automation Center of Excellence (COE), and in partnership with the COE Director, you will be responsible for the successful deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of automation tools across enterprise-wide business groups. This includes supporting initiatives related to Process Mining (Celonis), Document Automation (Conexiom), Robotic Process Automation (UiPath), and emerging automation technologies. You will collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, providing leadership, coaching, and change management to drive strategic outcomes, accelerate innovation, and enhance operational excellence.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  1. Program Advocacy and Leadership

    • Champion the automation COE's mission and capabilities across the enterprise, promoting awareness and understanding of process mining, document automation, and RPA.

    • Use knowledge of automation tools to identify new use cases aligned with business needs and strategic goals.

    • Lead cross-functional project teams including business analysts and developers, ensuring alignment with program objectives, timelines, and standards

    • Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders, translating business challenges into automation opportunities and promoting enterprise-wide engagement with supported platforms

  2. Strategic Planning and Prioritization

    • Collaborate with your Director, Global Process Owners, and Functional Leads to develop and prioritize automation roadmaps.

    • Evaluate business needs and support intake and prioritization of automation opportunities across process mining, document automation, and RPA.

    • Work closely with end-users, Developers, Business Analysts, and Cross-Functional Stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and resourcing for automation projects.

  3. Solution Design, Development, and On-going Support

    • Partner with business groups to gather requirements, document functional designs, and oversee end-to-end testing for automation solutions

    • Collaborate with COE peers and technical teams to ensure consistent performance monitoring, issue resolution, and optimization of deployed automations.

    • Support the development and maintenance of scalable, reusable automation components that align with enterprise standards and business objectives.

  4. Process Standards and Methods

    • Conduct periodic reviews with Global Process Owners and business stakeholders to assess end-to-end processes and identify automation opportunities

    • Promote consistency in solution design, documentation, and implementation to support scalability and enterprise-wide adoption

    • Maintain and evolve standard operating procedures, templates, and governance frameworks to ensure quality, compliance, and value capture.

    • Collaborate with COE peers to align on best practices and continuously improve automation delivery methods.

  5. Change Management

    • Partner with your Director and other COE team members to lead enterprise-wide automation capability awareness and training

    • Mentor and coach COE team members to support their growth in business knowledge, implementation methods, and technical proficiency across supported platforms.

    • Develop and publish reporting and dashboards to communicate key metrics, KPIs, and realized value from automation initiatives.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders and COE peers to drive adoption, overcome resistance, and integrate automation into everyday business operations


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Information Technology

Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications (MBA, CPA, CIA, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a technical or business role, focusing on process improvement and data management
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • Experience in technical implementations, defining system architectures, and identifying gaps between current-state and desired-end-state for processes and delivering a solution that will achieve the desired outcomes

  • Developing and motivating others
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications, with the effective use of active listening and interviewing skills

Preferred:

  • Experience managing people preferred
  • Experience in automation tools (e.g. RPA, Document Automation, Process Mining, etc.)
  • Working experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Must possess expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
