This position supervises and directs the daily activities of the lot personnel and the lot operations function for the Auction and ensures the efficient, orderly and proper check-in, staging and moving of vehicles on the lot and through the production points.

* Direct the daily operation of the vehicle check-in area by leading and coordinating the activities and the work flow of the drivers.

* Ensure efficient lot operation by coordinating the movement of vehicles from check-in to the sale staging.

* Oversee and ensure that incoming vehicles are received, stocked-in, numerated and parked in the proper areas.

* Provide quality service and interact with customers to resolve any problems hat may occur.

* Complete paperwork and reports outlining the sales lot activities, including accounts receivable, lot maps, no sales reports, etc.

* Inspect and maintain lot operations equipment and ensure that it is functional and in good working condition.

* Supervise and direct the work of lot operations employees by determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and monitoring work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.

* Assist Supervisor in counseling and disciplining employees as necessary. Under the direction of the Supervisor, plan, monitor and evaluate employee job performance, and assist manager in conducting performance appraisals

* Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

1-2 years Auction lot operations experience and knowledge of overall Auction functions required.

Competencies/Skills:

Strong communication and interaction skills required. Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills required.

Basic computer skills preferred. Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Accomplishments

(Degrees, Certifications, Languages):

Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.

Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.

Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts hazard, electrical shock hazard and toxic or caustic chemicals.

Moderate noise level. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather.

USD 23.65 - 35.48 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $23.65 - $35.48/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
