Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm

***This position is located within a jail/correctional facility and would be working around inmates.***

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Responsible for Go Cart operations which is a cart with 32 small shelves & 3 large shelves standing about 8 feet tall with the product on it.
• Load Commissary Items on the "Go Cart" menu.
• Pushing Go Cart to approved dorms/pods so inmates / detainees can purchase items off the Go Cart.
• Verify inmate/detainee have the funds for purchases.
• Ring up all purchases and ensure all items are accounted for.
• Print purchase receipts for the inmate/detainee to sign (which you keep & file daily).
• Ensure inventory is sufficient and refresh inventory periodically to ensure adequate Commissary Items are available.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation

• Competitive pay
• Regular pay raises based on performance and experience levels
• Weekly pay, every Thursday

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with people in a correctional facility in a professional, upbeat manner.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs) preferred.
• Ability to use either a Laptop or a Tablet.
• Ability to use a thermal printer & a wand scanner.
• Basic Computer & Excel knowledge / Tablet knowledge.
• Basic mathematical knowledge.
• Understanding of FIFO (First In First Out), Ordering knowledge, most importantly Inventory Control knowledge.
