Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Department: Mercer Medicine College/Division: School Of Medicine Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: The Mercer Medicine Clinic in Macon, Georgia is searching for an LPN. Responsibilities: This position requires the ability to multi-task by triaging multiple patients, to include, obtaining vitals, updating patient information and providing patient education, completing referrals (outgoing/incoming), prescription refills, obtaining authorizations, procedure assistance, completing forms, and manning multiple phone calls. This position does require independent assessment skills for patient needs. This position will work closely with the physician and consult the physician as needed tor patient care. This position is to provide support for MD to assist in his follow up to completing forms, returning calls, and other task and areas of follow up. Qualifications: This position requires a current Georgia Practical Nursing license and some clinical experience involving direct patient care. Phlebotomy experience is also required. CPR certification must be earned in the first 6 months. Candidates must possess caring, compassionate qualities with good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
