Position description

The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for Assistant Adjunct Professorships. Appointments are normally for two years, with the possibility of renewal for a third year. The teaching load is typically six one-quarter courses per year.

The department is particularly interested in hiring applicants who will fill teaching needs, while contributing to the research activities of the department. Assistant Adjunct Professors on this track will participate in mentorship and training activities for teaching and will join efforts to transform instruction at the lower and upper division levels.

The annual salary for this position is $84,900.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in a relevant area or expect to complete their Ph.D. by June 2026, must show evidence of excellence in teaching, and have research interests that align with faculty members in the department.
