Norfolk Southern is seeking a motivated and collaborative Management Trainee - Logistics Operation Supervisor to join our 24/7 operations team. This full-time, early career role is designed to provide hands-on training and mentorship over 9-12 months, preparing you for a future leadership position managing a team responsible for the optimal utilization of business resources. As a trainee, you will learn how to lead a team that ensures the right people are in the right place at the right time to keep our operations running smoothly. You'll gain deep insight into logistics, collaborate across multiple departments, and develop the critical thinking skills needed to identify and solve business challenges.In this role you'll be immersed in the operational side of resource management-learning how to prioritize assignments, respond to service disruptions, and support the broader network through strategic decision-making.Field immersion is a key part of the experience. You'll spend time alongside Train & Engine (T&E) crews, traveling in pools, staying overnight in crew hotels, and gaining firsthand insight into the realities of scheduling and resource deployment.
