Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Assistant Professor * MD/DO * Board Certified in Pediatrics * Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine * Formal training in pediatric intensive care either with completion of pediatric critical care fellowship or a year of additional training as an advanced cardiac intensive care fellow * Minimum 5 years' clinical experience in an academic setting Associate Professor * MD/DO * Board Certified in Pediatrics * Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine * Formal training in pediatric intensive care either with completion of pediatric critical care fellowship or a year of additional training as an advanced cardiac intensive care fellow * Minimum 7 years' clinical experience in an academic setting Condition of Employment: * Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado * Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check *For questions regarding Children's Hospital drug testing requirements, please contact Children's Human Resources at 720-777-8598. Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum of 3 years of attending level experience as a pediatric cardiac intensivist, with significant experience in complex neonatal cardiac intensive care, particularly with single ventricle physiology * Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care (either a one-year formal training as an advanced cardiac intensive care senior fellow, or double-Boarded in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Intensive Care) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Must be able to be flexible, collaborative within the Heart Institute and other areas within CHCO.
