The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, HVAC servicing, and electrical.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate personnel lifts.

  • Operate forklifts

  • Perform minor repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards

  • Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas

  • Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production

  • Use hand and power tools and assist in moving equipment

  • Plumbing, construction of metal/wood, and

  • Painting

  • Minor facility repairs

  • General rigging

  • Instruct lawn service contractor

  • PM of forklifts per schedule

  • AC system filter change per schedule

  • Assist HVAC technicians with repairs

  • Facility preventative maintenance

  • Adhere to all safety requirements

  • Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and OMS

  • Basic math skills

  • Certified fork lift operator

  • Welding

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 40 semester hours of industrial trade training or 3 years general maintenance experience
