Position Summary:

In collaboration with the Factory Controller/Factory Leadership Team, provide department leadership and expertise that ensures cost adheres to financial obligations and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and assign a team of direct reports to local committees to drive factory cost using Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) and LEAN tools.
  • Provide plant/corporate management with accurate and timely financial data and analysis, and ensure financial projections adhere to approved budgets.
  • Challenge assumptions and arrive at well-reasoned conclusions and solutions, by testing them against relevant cost criteria to substantiate proposed savings on project initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to manage costs and review of capital proposals.
  • Compile information on actual costs, timeliness, and accuracy of period-end close, and manage cost forecasting methods that predict revenue and accuracy in data sources.
  • Promote fiscal responsibility and transparency by ensuring financial policies, Accounting & Cost Standards are followed, and financial impacts progress and/or the need to close gaps.
  • Participate in business/financial planning; and provide guidance in the preparation of factory budgets.
  • Perform revisions and/or simulations as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new product costs in accordance with cost standards.
  • Coach and develop cost specialist personnel, create career plans and prepare succession planning strategies utilizing TPMS tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Financial Planning and a thorough understanding of accounting related systems.

Skills:

  • Superlative verbal and written communications with strengths in public speaking/presentation.
  • Conscientious with a meticulous attention to details and an ability to explain complex financial principles clearly and concisely to nonexperts with resolve.
  • A well cultivated critical thinker that raises vital questions, anticipate problems, and gathers relevant information for resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., flexible in collaborations, consensus negotiations and relationship management).
  • Cognitive analytics expertise with an ability to combine business/artificial intelligence and financial data analytics from multiple sources to obtain for more informed decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably, make decisions appropriately, and allocate time efficiently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with varying degrees of complexities and/or urgency and allocate time appropriately and efficiently.
