The Opportunity
NPT seeks an accomplished Director, Philanthropic Solutions to lead relationship development and strategic growth among our most sophisticated donors - including family offices, ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, and their advisors.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience at donor-advised fund sponsors, private banks, or multifamily offices, who thrive on cultivating deep, trust-based relationships with clients and helping them execute their philanthropic vision.
You will serve as a strategic partner and relationship lead for a portfolio of donors, providing the highest level of stewardship and service, and identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and grow relationships. You'll leverage NPT's full suite of capabilities to deliver white-glove, holistic philanthropic solutions to our most valued relationships.


This role follows a hybrid work model, with two days onsite each week. Salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 plus 12% annual discretionary bonus.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Relationship Development


  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of UHNW donors and family offices, building long-term, trusted partnerships.
  • Take a proactive, strategic approach to relationship management, with a focus on retaining and growing these relationships, by identifying opportunities to meet their complex and unique philanthropic needs.
  • Develop and execute individualized engagement strategies that reflect each client's values, goals, and giving philosophy.
  • Build positive relationships with donors, their family office teams, financial advisors and other professional advisors by anticipating needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Provide oversight of transactional activity for relationships under your care to provide a seamless experience consistent with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Conduct ongoing outreach, including regular calls, quarterly reviews, and in-person visits.


Growth & Engagement


  • Leverage data, insights, and performance metrics to identify trends, measure engagement, and demonstrate growth in giving and participation.
  • Partner with internal teams to create customized philanthropic solutions, new service offerings, and innovative donor experiences that inspire greater giving.
  • Drive measurable outcomes in donor satisfaction, retention, and philanthropic activity, targeting growth in charitable giving for the relationships under your stewardship.


Leadership & Collaboration


  • Serve as a senior representative of NPT's values and service promise to UHNW donors.
  • Collaborate across departments - including investments, operations, compliance, and communications - to deliver seamless, integrated client experiences.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Stay current on best practices for donor-advised funds as well as the broader environment of charitable giving; serve as a resource for donors and colleagues on trends and topics of interest in the philanthropy ecosystem.



Qualifications


  • 10+ years of relationship management experience, including at least 5 years working directly with UHNW clients, family offices, or private banking clients.
  • Deep understanding of donor-advised funds, philanthropic planning, and charitable giving structures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across a range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to drive proactive engagement and business growth.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, unwavering commitment to quality, professional maturity, and integrity.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to NPT's mission and to fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
