Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Marketing team as a Project Manager III!

About the role

The Project Manager III leads complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives that drive digital transformation and brand impact across the enterprise. This role connects strategy to execution - ensuring digital campaigns, marketing technology implementations, and integrated brand programs are delivered on time, and with measurable results.

The ideal candidate brings proficiency in AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance marketing workflows and decision-making, and applies Agile methodologies to drive iterative planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.

What you will do



  • Apply Agile project management principles to drive iterative planning, team collaboration, and adaptive delivery across marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance project efficiency, automate workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead large-scale digital and integrated marketing projects, from intake through launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand strategy.
  • Drive project planning, timelines, resources, and risk management across corporate marketing programs and enterprise initiatives.
  • Partner closely with internal teams - including Creative, UX, Digital, Analytics, and IT - to ensure cohesive and connected execution across channels and platforms.
  • Manage and optimize digital workflows, including campaign operations, content development, marketing automation, and web content governance.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of digital platforms (e.g., CMS, CRM, DAM, marketing automation, analytics dashboards).
  • Lead strategic discussions, and ensure cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate prioritization and capacity planning across multiple stakeholders to ensure marketing work is aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Establish clear success measures, track performance, and communicate progress and impact to leadership.
  • Contribute to broader corporate marketing initiatives beyond digital as part of an integrated marketing ecosystem.
  • Champion process improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence across marketing teams.

Compensation

$103,300 - $172,200 annually plus eligibility for Company Annual Bonus program

Who you are



  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8-10 years of project management experience in marketing, digital, or marketing operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern digital marketing workflows - including campaign management, SEO/SEM, content marketing, email, paid media, and martech integration.
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies in marketing or digital environments; Agile certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and platforms used in marketing operations, content creation, or analytics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in a matrixed, cross-functional organization.
  • Skilled at influencing, facilitating collaboration, and communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with marketing technology tools (Workfront, CMS, CRM, DAM, analytics, automation).
  • PMP or Agile certification preferred; familiarity with Workfront and AdTrax a plus.
