POSITION SUMMARY



  • The OT Cyber Security Technician is junior level position responsible for activities related to the integration and maintenance of cyber security as it relates to manufacturing equipment. The OT Cyber Security Technician will work with the MPG Controls Engineering team, MPG IT Department as well as Plant Level personnel to ensure that all cyber security risks are mitigated in accordance with MPG Cyber Security Protocols


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Install cell level firewalls, cable infrastructure and other electrical controls equipment under supervision
  • Help engineers update PLC's, HMI's and other OT related firmware
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure appropriate OT security controls are implemented
  • Develop and maintain effective cybersecurity policies and procedures for the OT environment
  • Work with vendors and plant personnel to ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented and maintained across the MPG organization
  • Participate in incident response and emergency response efforts as needed
  • Perform ongoing assessments and monitoring of the OT environment to identify and mitigate potential cyber security risks


JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Electrical controls background preferred, or willingness to learn in that field.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, electrical engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and architectures
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulations
  • Experience with security controls and technologies commonly used in OT environment
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Allen Bradely/Rockwell experience
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Team Player, including cross functional/departmental
