Student Help - Microbiology

Work Schedule:

15% FTE, part-time position, day shift. You will coordinate schedules with other student help workers so there is a student in the microbiology lab 2-3 hours per day Monday - Friday. Weekends are split between students so there is a student each weekend from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Student Help - Microbiology to:

  • Support the lab by making reagents, stocking supplies, aliquoting reagents, filing and xeroxing while using proper laboratory techniques.
  • Provide assistance to the team by compiling data for quality monitors and entering data into spreadsheets.
  • Interact, communicate and assist with Clinical Lab staff as needed.

Qualifications
  • Current student in a post secondary college or university Required
  • Field of study related to department Preferred
Work Experience
  • General customer service/ administrative experience or experience in field of study Required
