Position summary:

Customer Service Associates (CSAs) are communication professionals responding to internal and external customer requests utilizing verbal and written skills. CSAs work with Service Orders, Collections, Billing, Auditing and Reporting. A Customer Service Associate working in the customer service area handles customer inquiries, payments, and account issues, responding to problems and complaints, and supporting field collections efforts.

Pay Range: $23.72 - $30.56 per hour (Determined by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Reporting Relationship: Customer Service Supervisor

Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Essential Functions:
* Investigate and respond to customer account inquiries.
* Review and process customer information reports as needed.
* Receive and post customer payments, balance cash drawers, and process payments.
* Utilize CIS+ customer information system and agency reports to investigate and document diversions.
* Process accounts payable and payroll items.
* Enter service orders as needed.
* Support Service Guard, Appliance Repair program.
* Contact customers regarding delinquent residential and small commercial accounts.
* Audit metering reports for correct measurement and billing information.
* Audit reports to assure accuracy of service orders and account information.
* Interface with walk in customers on account management and customer issues.
* Interface with customers by phone if required.
* Support credit and collections, payment services and BHEAP program as required.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Requires the ability to demonstrate good customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Ability to work with confidential customer information and maintain confidentiality.

What Is Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
* Must possess and maintain valid Colorado driver's license.

What Is Desired:
* Previous customer service experience preferred.
* Ability to learn and use Word, Excel, the Internet and Office computer programs.
* Ability to operate the company's customer service information systems and ability to develop / maintain spreadsheets and word documents.
* Ability to understand and follow company procedures and guidelines, and PUC Rules and Regulations.
* Ability to gain cashier and balancing experience.
* Flexible and able to adapt to change.
* Basic math and accounting skills.
