Homemaker - Full-Time 64hrs bi-weekly - Days 8am-4:30pm - No Weekends & No Holidays.

The Homemaker position is responsible for providing one-on-one social interaction as well as assistance with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation for the client to ensure the client can safely remain in the home.

Opportunity Details:

Schedule:

Full-Time - 64hrs bi-weekly
Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Position works weekdays - no weekends & no holidays

Pay:

The targeted pay range for this job is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour.
Shift Differential for evenings ($1.00/hour) and overnights ($2.00/hour).

Essential Job Responsibilities:



  1. Provides assistance with light housekeeping and laundry duties and other tasks per schedule or request.
  2. Observes client and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the Clinical Director.
  3. Prepares and plans meals as directed and follows special meal plans as needed.
  4. Provides companionship to the client such as conversation, watching television or playing cards.
  5. Provides medication reminders.
  6. Maintains privacy and confidentiality of client, client's records and client's living environment.
  7. Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire and other emergency situations.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.


Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver's License Required

Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Ability to effectively communicate messages both verbally and in a written format
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in Healthcare
  • Previous experience working with seniors
