Job Overview

Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial facility equipment. This hands-on role requires an ownership mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment checks ("shift rounds") and document system performance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, dock equipment, and life safety systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks, including motors, MCC panels, VFDs, pumps, valves, and solenoid devices.
• Manage maintenance projects and coordinate subcontractors as needed.
• Order parts, track inventory, maintain tools and work areas, and update the CMMS with accurate work logs.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and facility staff to ensure the timely completion of work requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or undergraduate coursework preferred.
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
• Valid driver's license and operator certifications (forklift, JLG, aerial lift).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, email, CMMS, and building automation systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.

Technical Skills

• Skilled with hand and power tools.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building envelope systems.
• Ability to operate lifts, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
