SUMMARY OF POSITION:

An Equipment Finance Analyst should demonstrate commitment to delivering distinctive service. This position will be responsible for various activities within the Equipment finance group to include booking Equipment Finance loans/leases, reviewing Equipment Finance loan/lease packages for accurate documentation and data integrity, reviewing commercial credit approval within the guidelines of the firm's policy, and citing/clearing collateral exceptions noted within review. Responsibilities may also include ensuring transactions are properly perfected by completing UCC filings and ordering/reviewing UCC searches as well as posting loan/lease payments to the Core system or Infolease, as applicable.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide distinctive service to clients and prospects, in person and over the telephone. Respond to client inquiries and satisfactorily resolve client issues. Support firm-wide achievement of the three-ring standard (all phones answered by a live person within three rings).
  • Review equipment finance loan/lease packages within the guidelines of the firm's loan policy, Credit Approval Narrative [Global Wave], and within the timelines of established service level agreements.
  • Review system of record for data integrity.
  • Manage the perfection of equipment finance transactions, both loans and leases.
  • Track and report on credit policy exceptions.
  • Meet all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refer clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

DESCRIPTION OF EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:

  • College degree is preferred - finance or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services.
  • Knowledge of lending process, specific to equipment finance loans and leases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or related software.
  • Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations and compliance.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Understanding of critical lending documentation, general business systems and internal controls.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.
  • Excellent client service skills. Tact and diplomacy in dealing with both clients and associates.
  • The physical activities of this job include but are not limited to the ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, use of manual dexterity, verbal communication, visual acuity, repetitive motion, and the ability to hear. Often long periods of mental concentration are required. Other activities are the ability to bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and grasp.
