PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This role will be classified as either Railroad Bridge Engineer or Bridge Engineer, depending on your experience, education, and skillset as determined by CPKC. In this position, you will oversee crucial railway infrastructure, evaluating bridge inspection results and field conditions to identify service risks. You will recommend investment priorities that support structural integrity and capacity, in alignment with our multi-year bridge management plan. As a strong front-line leader, you will cultivate a culture of safety, reliability, and excellence while ensuring smooth operations within the structures department and supporting the safe, efficient movement of the railway network. PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Medical and Drug Testing This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company or regulated drug test is required. BECOMING A RAILROADER: As an employee with a North American presence, the possibility does exist that the location of your position may be changed based on organizational requirements. Management Conductor Program Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
