The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) conduct initial and ongoing training for Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) providing applied-behavior-analytic services for patients diagnosed with developmental disabilities, pediatric feeding disorders, or other behavioral diagnoses. BCBAs provide direct supervision of the development and implementation of assessment and treatment protocols. BCBAs support daily administration needs including managing staff and patient schedules, conducting human-resources tasks, and assisting with patient assessments and treatments. BCBAs implement and monitor ongoing research activities in accordance with the needs identified by the clinical faculty. Qualifications: Required:
- Master's degree within 3 months of start date
- Certified as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within 6 months of start date
- American Heart Association BLS
Preferred:
- Experience supervising work with children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- American Heart Association BLS

Scheduling Requirements:
Essential Functions:
- Clinical Supervision and Applied-Behavior-Analytic Services
- Coordinate and direct patient intake and discharge activities (e.g., conduct initial consent/paperwork with caregivers)
- Coordinate and direct assessment and treatment procedures and assist with implementation as needed
- Review and edit initial drafts of session materials, session descriptions, and progress notes
- Review assessment and treatment data to perform analysis of findings
- Monitor and ensure the fidelity of assessment and treatment procedures
- Develop and refine skill-acquisition programs (e.g., increasing acceptance and consumption of healthy foods and liquids, developmental feeding skills such as self-feeding or chewing, social and communication skills, curriculum-based developmental)
- Develop and refine behavior-reduction programs (e.g., extinction protocols to reduce inappropriate mealtime behavior, noncontingent reinforcement to reduce crying, functional communication training)
- Direct or conduct the training of caregivers (e.g., parents, school personnel)
- Administrative
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise RBTs
- Conduct annual evaluations of RBTs and pre-doctoral interns in collaboration with clinical faculty
- Coordinate and supervise organization and maintenance of treatment materials and equipment
- Coordinate and supervise creation of data-collection protocols and systems
- Assist in development of and oversee implementation of clinic policies and procedures
- Develop and supervise activities related to staff training and development, program evaluation, and performance improvement
- Provide tours of the facility
- Participate in and supervise interdisciplinary activities such as administrative meetings, planning meetings, peer-review meetings, intake planning, and discharge planning
- Research
- Coordinate and supervise research activities including: creating IRB protocols, consent forms, and session protocols; collecting and compiling research-related data; reviewing published studies; assessing interobserver agreement and analyzing data; writing manuscripts and/or book chapters; coordinating research meetings; tracking research
- Coordinate and supervise the development of presentations for local, national, and international conferences. This includes identifying relevant research projects, editing, and submitting abstracts for presentations, writing and editing talks and posters, and coordinating the printing of posters

- BCBAs may work with patients who vomit, or who engage in other forms of challenging behavior, such as aggression, self-injury, elopement, expulsion (spitting out foods or liquids during treatment), or property destruction.
- Must be able to move, lift, and carry patients and objects. Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients may involve independently lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assisting with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. This position requires frequent movement, use of limbs, and good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. This position may also require extended periods of standing or sitting.
