Responsibilities:

  • Work from manufacturing schedules, verbal instructions, operation sheets, and written requests to make accurate and timely transactions with respect to crib stock arrangements and availability
  • Receive, count, segregate, and verify heat codes of forgings from suppliers, including outsourced products
  • Create and organize boxes for forgings to be issued to the shop floor
  • Collaborates with the quality department to obtain approval for products before advancing them to the subsequent operation
  • Assume responsibility of managing the Kanban system
  • Assemble tool kits utilizing engineering manifests and ensure they are stored in designated locations with appropriate identification in the system to facilitate efficient retrieval.
  • Track and order required non-vending items early to ensure availability
  • Receive all incoming shipments per S.P.I. 6.7. Check incoming materials against accompanying paperwork and store in the proper location
  • Check stock limits and initiate necessary requisitions to replenish supplies
  • With the Production Supervisor, conduct periodic inventories and report irregularities
  • Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Organize and maintain inventory of customer tooling and standard supplies within the tool room, shop floor, and warehouse
  • Occasional delivery and pick up of inventory



Physical Requirements (minimum)

  • Able to lift 30 pounds up to 4 feet
  • Able to maintain a stationary position for 15% of the work shift
  • Able to stand, walk, or traverse 85% of the work shift
  • Able to work with repetitive hand and arm motion 25% of the work shift with suitable break periods.
  • Able to safely operate, activate, and use manufacturing/productivity machinery such as forklifts and pallets jacks
  • Able to ascend/descend 25% of the work shift
  • Able to bend, reach, position, and place 45% of the work shift



Office Skill Requirements (minimum)

  • Office computer skills = Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Visual MFG. is a plus)
  • Reading level = Intermediate
  • Writing level = Intermediate
  • Math skills = Intermediate
  • Communication skills = able to converse with other team members, express oneself, exchange information, discern, and professionally convey messages.



Other Requirements (minimum)

  • General knowledge of production/tool room processes and procedures
  • Must have the ability to work as a team member to achieve the company's quality and production standards
