Store Room Attendant

Your main responsibilities

  1. Meet with Supervisor and employees in department to exchange pertinent information prior to beginning of shift.
  2. Monitor and ensure safe work practices and behaviors are being followed at all times.
  3. Assess department for compliance to 5S system and resolve any deficiencies.
  4. Will help drive safety standardization and practices within the department.
  5. Follows instructions given on all material handling processes
  6. Will work one - on - one with new material handlers to help train and assist
  7. Address any maintenance or equipment issues as they arise.
  8. Will assist with audits of materials going in and out of the warehouse
  9. Will help develop and lead training for warehouse
  10. Will serve as a backup for Warehouse Supervisor as needed
  11. Will work flexible shifts as needed to help assist with issues
  12. Will complete all required administrative duties in a timely fashion.
  13. Will coordinate day to day activities of material handlers and resolve issues as they arise
  14. Will assist Supevisor in tracking / monitoring of scheduled PTO/PSL
  15. Will assist Supervisor in monitoring teammate attendance and address policy violations in accordance with the defined process
  16. Will assist and provide information to evaluate employee performance, to promote developmental needs and to assist leadership in fairly and consistently administering Company policies and procedures.
  17. Other duties as assigned

What you bring

High school degree or equivalent. Five years of proven successful prior leadership experience is required; extensive warehouse / inventory management experience considered. Must be willing to work flexible hours as needed. Must be knowledgeable and experienced ERP system management and excel software. Experience in inventory and warehouse management best practices and procedures is required. Must possess good math and communication skills as needed to work with others and to be results driven.
