ANALYGENCE provides support to Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. Support includes a full range of Information Warfare training and operations, Information Systems & Operations, Communications, Administrative Support, and Knowledge Based Services across the air, space, and cyber domains. We are seeking a Communications Policy & Strategy Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and strategizing communications for dynamic, deployed operations. This role is critical to ensuring warfighters and command elements maintain secure, reliable, and rapid communications aligned with organizational expeditionary communications missions and initiatives. Position is 90% remote, with 10% travel to the DC/Pentagon region. Responsibilities include:
- Analyze organizational communication and cyber policy, and assist in the development of plans, strategy, and policy initiatives.
- Assess policy needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop policies to govern communications and cyber activities.
- Design/integrate a strategy that outlines the vision, mission, and goals that align with the organization's strategic plan.
- Draft, staff, and publish policy.
- Monitor the rigorous application of policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of planning and management service.
- Provide policy guidance to management, staff, and users.
- Review, conduct, or participate in audits of programs and projects.
- Support in the formulation of tactical communications-related policies.
- Interpret and apply applicable laws, statutes, and regulatory documents and integrateinto policy.
- Advocate for adequate funding for training resources, to include both internal andindustry-provided courses, instructors, and related materials.
- Promote awareness of tactical communications and cyber policy and strategy asappropriate among management and ensure sound principles are reflected in the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
- Define and integrate current and future mission environments.

- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' experience or; associate's degree plus 7 years' experience.
- 2 years' experience/knowledge of USG principles, methodologies, and approaches used in operational strategic planning.
- Knowledge of computer networking, satellite communications, and Radio Frequency concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
- Knowledge of emerging technologies that have potential for exploitation by adversaries.
- Knowledge of external organizations and academic institutions with cyber or expeditionary/tactical focus (e.g., cyber/tactical curriculum/training, and Research
& Development).
- Knowledge of applicable laws (e.g., Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, Protect America Act, search and seizure laws, civil liberties and privacy laws), statutes (e.g., in Titles 10, 18, 32, 50 in U.S. Code), Presidential Directives, executive branch guidelines, and/or administrative/criminal legal guidelines and procedures relevant to work performed.
- Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, network engineering and installation, tactical communications satellite communications, and electromagnetic spectrum principles
- Knowledge of cyber, satellite communications, and electromagnetic spectrum threats and vulnerabilities
- Knowledge of defensive cyber capabilities.
- Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses
- Knowledge of industry indicators useful for identifying technology trends.
- Knowledge of the nature and function of the relevant information structure (e.g., National Information Infrastructure).

- Must have experience developing progress briefings to keep leaders updated on expeditionary communications planning efforts.
- Ability to leverage best practices and lessons learned of external organizations and academic institutions dealing with tactical communications, engineering installation, cyber, satellite communications, and electromagnetic spectrum issues.
