The Role:

Our site in Hillsboro, Oregon is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. The intended hours for this role are Sunday - Tuesday 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM with every other Wednesday rotating. The Production Supervisor position is responsible and accountable for achieving departmental production requirements by focusing on safety, quality, and cost, through supervision of operators and through the coordination of scheduling and workflow.

This position will provide staff training, guidance, motivation, and ensure that work instructions are maintained and are followed. Helping to instill a culture where teamwork, innovation, and accountability are of the highest importance. Works closely with the engineering and supporting functions to ensure seamless communication across the production shifts.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensures safe work practices and works with EHS to train and elevate culture of safety within the team. Monitors workarea and employees' performance for adherence to safety procedures, work restrictions, cleanliness expectations andall potential hazards.

  • Ensure staff training is provided for effective performance. Addresses issues with staff with supportivedocumentation.

  • Adheres to Company policies, procedures, and applicable budget requirements.

  • Conducts timely corrective actions and employee performance reviews.

  • Communicate effectively to the team regarding goals and expectations as well as with other supervisors, engineers, and management to ensure operations is one cohesive unit.

  • Ensures expected output of quality products is achieved. Assists in investigating and evaluating quality defects as assigned and in determining appropriate actions to be taken. Assists with recommending and implementing solutions to improve quality of products. Give suggestions on writing documents, changing orders and manufacturing instructions. Assists in identifying and recommending procedures for scrap reduction.

  • Promotes the use of Lean / Sigma Manufacturing concepts including SPC, Kanban materials management and 6s.

  • Uses PDCA, visual management, meeting customer demands through schedule attainment, and daily improvements tomonitor and adjust production requirements and resources to ensure on time shipment.

  • Monitors production hour by hour performance and escalate issues.

  • Implements and monitors continuous quality improvement activities including waste and cost reduction, equipment, and tool efficiency.

  • Provides daily work direction to team members and acts as first point of contact regarding any issues that may arise on shift, including but not limited to safety incidents, quality, personnel, etc.

What We Seek:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must have a functional understanding in your specific production module and have good understanding of all othermodules within production.

  • Ability to work modified shift hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Good organizational and planning skills, communication skills and ability to adapt to workforce, work environment andcustomer needs.

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Previous experience leading a team.

  • Drives employee development, accountability, and engagement

  • Showcases and exemplifies PACE Values

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to read and write in the English language.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • Five years of supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience with six sigma methodologies.
