JOB PURPOSE

We currently have an immediate need for a Logistician IV to provide managerial oversight for the NIEF's over-all warehousing and logistics operations functional area. Oversees inventory control, the receipt, storage, retrieval and ensure the timely delivery of goods and materials. Supervises shipment loading & transferring and database and hardcopy documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY


  • Planning and organizing warehouse and logistics schedules
  • Assessing project and resource requirements
  • Estimating timescales with clients and managers, revising and revamping schedules as necessary
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
  • Determining quality control standards
  • Overseeing logistic processes
  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Check timecards daily for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure all personnel within the Functional Area are present within the prescribed working hours as set forth by the Program Manager.
  • Maintain assigned budget within each awarded Task Order
  • Ensure that his/her Functional Area is represented at all required meetings, to include the 0700 Monday PM meeting.
  • Submit a Weekly Status Report (WSR) in accordance with Program Manager prescribed deadlines and format.
  • Under the guidance and when directed by the Program Manager, the Logistics FAM shall participate in Business Development (BD) Data Calls to include (but not limited to) meetings and writing assignments.
  • As requested by the PMs, Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager, the Logistics FAM shall submit Task Order BOEs within the assigned deadline.
  • Cross-train all Functional area personnel to avoid any work stoppages should the departure of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) occur. KES personnel should be able to continue executing the Task Order regardless of any SubK action.
  • Using the BOM and GFM / GFE List, will work with Project Managers and other FAMs to draw from government inventory, procure, and stage the materials and equipment.
  • Will work with PMs, FAMs and Procurement Personnel to ensure proper shipping, receiving and procurement documentation is updated, accurate and disseminated to the proper stakeholders.
  • Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet Logistics requirements.
  • Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
  • Attend meetings and brief stakeholders on the status of logistics work and risks
  • Ensure all logistics documentation is accurate with minimal errors
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Required:


  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or in lieu of degree 10+ year's equivalent experience (Logistics, Material Management, and including Supervisory roles)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and CMMI standards and methodologies.
  • Must have experience in operating warehouse equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks, and packaging equipment machines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government granted personnel security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility
  • U.S. Citizenship is required


Preferred:


  • Master's degree preferred
  • Proficient in logistics/inventory databases and Microsoft computer programs.
  • Knowledgeable of production workflows and non-conformance material processes.
  • Experience in managing teams of personnel, or functional areas.
  • Implementing Supply-Chain Management processes for large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in C4ISR environment.
  • May use web-based tools and equipment to perform assignments.
  • Familiar with a variety of C4ISR and DoD Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts, practices, and procedures


Preferred: Special Knowledge/Skills


  • Military Supply Officers or Logistics Specialists with 10+ years' experience considered a plus.
  • 10+ years' experience in a U.S. Navy C4I Warehousing, Production, Industrial or Testing & Evaluation environment is preferred.
  • Current Forklift License
  • Familiarity with ADNS, UCLASS, SubLAN and CANES configurations considered a plus.
