JOB PURPOSE
This position will provide subject matter expertise to customers in mechanical packaging and design, mechanism and actuator design, structural analysis, and new concept development
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY



  • Provide technical insight to system development
  • Make recommendations on component selection, packaging design
  • Evaluate concept designs and system integration strategies
  • Review development contractor's documents and procedures, requirements flowdown, verification methodologies, calibration plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and test plans to ensure program success
  • Review program for high-risk areas and recommend mitigation approaches
  • Participate as subject matter experts in operations daily meetings, working groups, engineering review boards, design reviews, test readiness reviews, operational readiness reviews
  • Refine and develop measures of effectiveness, improvements to system environments, and creation of new procedures to support all facets of testing and operations
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and have good interpersonal and communications skills in dealing with multiple contractor and government organizations

  • This position requires a U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment



Preferred:


  • Bachelor's in ME, Physics or other related field; Master's in same related field and /or ME School



Required:


  • Proficiency using Solidworks 3D Modeling and Autocad software.
  • Strong technical, managerial, interpersonal, written and verbal skills are a must.
  • Must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
  • Must have strong task delegation, multitasking, and time management skill.



Preferred:


  • 12 years recent Navy C4I or other relevant experience in large system design, testing, installation, and analysis, using ILS data and risk/trade-off analysis of several systems.
  • Senior project management experience for planning, scheduling and execution of large programs is a plus.
