JOB PURPOSE

The Configuration Management Specialist will Manage and process engineer documents while ensuring accuracy, quality, and integrity. Configuration management/control of technical drawings, SolidWorks models, Engineering Change Notices and parts database for an engineering group located at customer location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY

Manage change control board and change notices. Process ECNs to control revisions of engineering documents.
Maintain and verify parts lists.
Distribute and release documentation to various functional areas.
Maintain part number database. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
Adhering to the document lifecycle procedures, records management procedures and policies, and archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.

Job Located at U.S. Government Facility
This position requires a U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment

Preferred:

High School: or Bachelors in CS,CE,TM,IS,IRM or IT.

Required:

Understanding of Engineering Data Management (EDM) processes and procedures for document management and record retention policies.
Expertise in document management and revision control processes
Proficiency using MS Excel, Word, Adobe and database software tools.

Preferred:

3-8 years of recent experience in performing Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Audits. Software Configuration Management experience is a plus.
