JOB PURPOSE.
The Drafter/CAD Operator is responsible to include documentation of equipment cabinets, equipment mounting kits, and equipment subassemblies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
- Create technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations
- Provide drafting support for parts, cables, assemblies, for a design team at customer location
- Use of COTS integration for military communications systems
- Utilize Solid works 3D CAD software to create detailed drawings/designs
- Understanding of technical drawing creation, review, and change control
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail to avoid errors with documentation
- Others duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education/ Required: 4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience.

- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Job Located at U.S. Government Facility
- This position requires a U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment
Preferred:
- Associates in EE, or mechanical computer aided drafting or 10 years of cumulative experience in the use of Solidworks. Bachelors in EE.

Experience

Required:
- 2 years' cumulative experience in the design and fabrication of electronic enclosures such as rack mount equipment
- Strong technical, interpersonal, written and verbal skills are a must
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding and machining process
- Knowledge of ECN/ ECO processes
Preferred:
- 8 years recent NC4I(S) or other relevant experience using SolidWorks and MIL-STD-31000B is a plus
