Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Lead and/or participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities Establish input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system Responsible for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports Lead the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring and daily maintenance of enterprise-wide Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss , and PHP architectures Interact with Software Development and infrastructure teams to define hardware requirements required to implement application solutions and troubleshoot technical issues Interaction with business units and project managers to solve variety of business - technical issues Interact with software, network and UNIX infrastructure administrators to seamlessly implement solutions to complex technical issues Troubleshoot web and middleware environments Identify potential and real performance bottlenecks within web environments Use troubleshooting methods to differentiate between an infrastructure or environment problem vs Administration of Web environments Requirements: Advanced Web/Java troubleshooting (analyzing heap dumps, thread dumps) Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
