Join Our Team as a Warehouse Supervisor at Epiroc!

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of all warehousing functions within the Distribution Center. This position leads the hourly work force and has the responsibility to ensure timely execution of vital warehouse functions to meet all aftermarket customer demands. Oversees the work performed in the DC warehouse as well as various functions in support of the distribution center. Must be able to recognize interruptions to normal material flow and react quickly. Must have strong organizational and communication skills. As needed, act as Safety Coordinator and Emergency Evacuation Leader.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Provide guidance to subordinate warehouse personnel and facilitate employee issue resolution
  • Oversee, direct and motivate employees
  • Assign and direct personnel to achieve departmental targets
  • Assist in establishing and updating performance standards for subordinates
  • Prioritize activities and take necessary actions to meet Distribution Center targets
  • Ensure safety, quality and housekeeping standards are met daily
  • Work with DC management to establish processes to meet ship schedules
  • Ensure that all vital warehouse functions are executed on a daily basis
  • Constantly monitor environment looking for risk areas
  • Develop work force to ensure "Safety First" is a way of life
  • Performs overall coordination of all in-house emergency matters
  • Must assure the effective utilization of labor resources
  • Must balance labor resources to satisfy fluctuating customer demands and continually adjust labor resources to react to material availability
  • Displays effective communications with DC management and customer service
  • representatives
  • Identification of employee behavioral problems and conflict resolution is critical
  • Initiate action to recognize, motivate and/or modify employees' behavior patterns
  • Must be willing to take disciplinary action when necessary to correct continued inappropriate behavior of poor performers



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
  • At least 5 years' manufacturing and/or warehousing/distribution experience
  • Basic computer skills - Word and Excel
  • Basic knowledge of and/or experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Knowledge of carrier/transportation procedures
