Mining and Explosives Engineering

The Department of Mining and Explosives Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology is seeking outstanding applicants for a Senior Research Associate position in Mineral Processing to start January 1, 2026.

The duties will include:

• Design, organize, and conduct research in the field of critical materials related to battery production
• Collect, interpret, and analyze engineering test data and summarize findings
• Prepare complete documentations and technical reports of the research activities related to the assigned projects
• Write peer-reviewed journal articles and present work at conferences
• Write proposals for external funding
• Provide guidance for graduate and undergraduate students as needed

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing, or a closely related engineering field
• Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in the areas of processing critical minerals
