Job Purpose

The Marketing & Communications Intern will report to the Senior Communications Specialist. This will be an ongoing opportunity during a student's undergrad that will supplement their education with on-the-job experience. We are actively recruiting for Summer 2026.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The main responsibility of this position will be to assist the Corporate Communications team with a variety of projects. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Work with the Communications Team to plan and execute projects on behalf of Dana's Corporate Functions, Commercial Vehicle Systems, and Light Vehicle Systems Business Units.
  • Assist in creating visual content for digital and print landscapes (social media, email, web, presentations, etc.).
  • Support in the development and deployment of various internal communications initiatives through written and visual media.
  • Assist with organizational tasks for large-scale projects.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external events (employee events, webcasts, etc.).

Position Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to refine messages in a simple, clear, and concise manner to accommodate various audiences.
  • Baseline knowledge of and interest in expanding skillset within Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, AfterEffects)
  • Proficiency in a Windows environment utilizing Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Photography skills and/or video editing a plus.
  • Interest in learning new skills, programs, and processes that support Communications projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to permit effective interaction with all levels of Dana.
  • Ability to abide by confidentiality and business ethics.
  • Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
  • Ability to multitask, demonstrate good time management and organizational skills, work independently and with a team, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous internship or related experience in communications is a plus.
  • Understanding of the basic principles of communications and marketing.

Required Education

  • Working toward a college degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
