POSITION SUMMARY:


The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and improving core data-centric methodologies and systems, including data analytics, reporting, business operations support and integrations. This individual contributor will also drive the planning, design and creation of data processes and reports using Power BI and other reporting tools such as Excel. Ideal candidates will have business analysis experience within the sales operation's organization, ability to understand and implement sales planning processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and fun environment.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:



  • Develop and maintain business intelligence data visualizations, reports, dashboards and ad-hoc reporting using Microsoft Power BI and/or Excel.
  • Interact with Sales to understand business requirements (functional and non-functional).
  • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
  • Create charts and document explanations of algorithms, parameters, models and relations.
  • Support the build-out and maintenance of our business intelligence and reporting infrastructure.
  • Deliver operating reports on sales performance, projections, quota setting and other key metrics.
  • Enable business units to practice self-service reporting.
  • Analyze existing data repositories and create design strategies for data integration and reporting.
  • Support data governance and stewardship work streams.
  • Champion and manage new initiatives to improve operations processes.
  • Leverage technology to drive automation for system efficiency and quality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field of study, Business Administration, or Business Analysis is required or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficiency with all areas Power BI. Dashboards, Reports, Scheduling, Publishing and creating complex data models
  • 3+ years direct experience in business intelligence, business analysis, data analysis, or data visualization role specifically using Power BI.
  • Ability work with a high degree of ambiguity
  • Data extraction and analysis tools experience
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities with solid attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and apply new technology
  • Ability to travel 10%


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Advanced degree
  • 4-5 years sales operations experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry
  • 5+ of Power BI experience
  • SQL or data query language skill or experience

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
