Overview
Cares for patients under the direction of the nursing staff, performs the following duties, and supports the nursing philosophy. Is involved with patient care duties such as admissions, bathing, feeding, hygiene, ambulating, lifting and discharges. Reports any changes in patient condition to RN. May include weekends, holidays, day, evening, night, and/or on-call hours.Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE Certified as a nursing assistant in the state of practice. SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Function of the position with or without accommodations. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, taste, and smell. The employee must frequently lift up to 10 pounds, regularly lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
