Title: Maintenance Planner
Location: Oxford, MS

Salary: $89,100 and up depending on experience
Schedule: On-site daily

Focus: The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling and planning of all maintenance activities to minimize downtime, optimize resource use, and improve asset reliability. This role is an essential resource between maintenance and operations in developing detailed job plans, coordinating labor, materials, and tools, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Maintenance Planner Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop detailed job plans for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance during regular production and planned or extended shutdown periods.
  • Schedule maintenance activities based on production requirements and equipment availability; Prioritize work orders based on criticality and urgency.
  • Review and validate work requests; Estimate labor hours, parts, and materials required for jobs; Ensure work orders are complete with proper documentation, job steps, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with supervisors, technicians, engineering, and production teams; Ensure availability of all necessary resources (tools, equipment, spare parts) before job commencement.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for outsourced services or materials.
  • Maintain accurate work order logs, asset records, and equipment history using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Manage contractor and vendor activities related to maintenance; generate purchase requisitions for maintenance and utilities.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement; Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives across manufacturing and maintenance functions.
  • Serve as Maintenance Supervisor and/or Incident Commander as needed.
Maintenance Planner Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or bachelor's degree* in engineering, industrial maintenance, or related technical discipline preferred.
  • Three years of maintenance, industrial planning, or related experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of maintenance processes and reliability principles.
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and during plant shutdown periods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance and inventory tracking, (i.e SAP, Maximo, JD Edwards, etc).
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent customer service, communication (oral and written) and time management skills.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
