Job Summary-

Employee must be able to carry out written and verbal assignments and provide reliable shift coverage for performing mechanical repairs to a variety of equipment. Primary skills required in millwright craft with secondary skills required in welding and/or machining practices. Layout, fitting, and welding experience is a plus along with the understanding of construction drawings and schematics.

The employee must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work at elevations, lift 55 lbs., operate power tools and equipment, work in confined spaces and operate maintenance mobile equipment (such as trucks and man lifts).
Good interpersonal skills are required as well as a desire to work and reliable transportation to and from work.



Responsibilities-

Will perform a broad range of mechanical repairs to process equipment. Primary skills are required in Millwright craft with secondary skills in welding and or machining practices. Layout, fitting and welding experience is a plus along with the understanding of construction drawings & schematics. Individual must be able to work alone with minimum supervision and perform any other duties as assigned.

Employee must have acceptable work records and be able to legally operate a motor vehicle. Employee must be capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces. Must be able to operate tools and or equipment required for the job and be able to lift 55 lbs.



Qualifications-

Minimum 4-5 years performing directly related mechanical craft work in an industrial environment. May consider less with successful completion of appropriate study at a technical school.

    Detailed knowledge of the operating characteristics and maintenance practices of industrial mechanical equipment.
    • Must be capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
    • Must be able to operate maintenance mobile equipment such as trucks and man lifts.
    • Must be able to work alone with minimum supervision and perform any other duties as assigned.
    • Must be able to operate tools and equipment required for the job.
    • Must solid verifiable work history and excellent attendance record.
    • Must have strong desire to work AND have reliable transportation.
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Must be able to lift at least 55lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. Felony and/or misdemeanor charges for crimes involving violence; weapons; controlled substances; sexual activity/offense; domestic violence; theft; dishonesty; or burglary will disqualify an applicant from consideration for employment with St. Marks Powder.
  • BATFE clearance required
  • Must have a valid State Driver's License with less than 2 moving/non-moving violations in the past 7 years.
