Job Summary:


The IT Manager - Enterprise Systems is responsible for managing the leadership, governance, and operational support of the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role oversees day-to-day system performance, supports end-user functionality, drives continuous improvement, and ensures the ERP system aligns with business processes and strategic goals.



This role requires prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Experience (CE/CRM). The IT Manager will supervise a team of 1-2 internal Business Analysts and manage the relationship with the company's third-party ERP support provider. This position serves as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders for all ERP-related matters, with accountability for ERP system integrity, configuration, data quality, issue resolution, enhancement management, and budgetary planning.



Candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to one of plant locations - Point of Rocks, MD; Washington, MO; Peru, IL; Jacksonville, FL; or South Plainfield, NJ - and have access to a major airport. Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. This position follows a hybrid work model, with the expectation to be onsite up to three (3) days per week, or as determined by your manager based on team and business needs. The remaining days may be worked remotely.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Own the stability, performance, and ongoing optimization of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform (F&O and CE modules).
  • Supervise internal ERP Business Analysts, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Manage the external ERP support partner, ensuring service levels, escalation management, and project delivery expectations are met.
  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and functional business units (e.g., Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to ensure alignment between system functionality and business process needs.
  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and execution of ERP-related change requests, configurations, and break/fix issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation and control of ERP system configurations, processes, and integrations.
  • Lead planning and implementation of system updates, patches, and new features in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain governance practices for ERP access, security roles, data quality, and change control.
  • Facilitate training, communication, and end-user support to promote user adoption and ERP effectiveness.
  • Support data integrations between ERP and other enterprise applications (e.g., data warehouse, shopfloor control).
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve ERP-supported business processes.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on system roadmaps, capital planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key ERP performance metrics and regularly report status, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Anticipated Pay Range
$119,000-$160,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Career Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:



  • 10 or more years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on enterprise ERP implementations and support.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in ERP administration, management, and integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Experience (CE).
  • A minimum of three years of experience working in the manufacturing industry with an understanding of supply chain, production, and financial processes.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture concepts, including cloud computing, databases, integrations, and security.
  • Excellent data management skills, with the ability to define, create, implement, and manage data conversions, ETL, and system interfaces at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical and functional ERP support teams and third-party vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors in a leveraged outsourced model, while holding them accountable to demanding schedules and constraints.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of departments and personality types.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.


PREFERRED:



  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations and/or global ERP environments.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • General office environment.
  • May require occasional exposure to production area with airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering manufacturing plant.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% at times, depending on project needs and timelines.
