Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a talented associate with 3-5 years of experience to join the Insurance Practice Group in one of the following offices: New York, Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, Tallahassee, or Washington DC. Qualified candidates must have a strong background in corporate transactions, insurance regulatory matters, and insurance transaction-specific deals. Relevant experience should include representing insurers, reinsurers, and other insurance-related entities, such as general agencies and third-party administrators, in transactions, restructurings, reinsurance transactions, and M&A matters, as well as experience counseling clients on a broad range of regulatory matters.
The ideal candidate should possess demonstrated experience advising clients in maintaining compliance with wide-ranging and complex insurance regulatory laws and conducting complex due diligence related to insurance regulatory issues that arise in merger and acquisition transactions. Sophisticated drafting skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions and complex projects are required, commensurate with the class year of the candidate. We are seeking a well-rounded, highly motivated associate with strong academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills. The candidate should expect direct interaction with partners and clients and must have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic. To be considered, candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where the candidates are admitted to practice. The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $350,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at Foley, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
