Job Description Leads a team of Enterprise Communications Specialists for the implementation of Low Voltage Cabling (LVC) Infrastructure for Information Services Facilities projects. Collaborates with architects, engineers, and related facilities and entities throughout the health system for all phases of construction relating to the Low Voltage Cabling discipline. Job Responsibility 1.Leads the development, execution, and implementation of Low Voltage Cabling (LVC) efforts in support of IS Facilities projects. 2.Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports. 3.Prioritizes and assigns work to staff to produce engineering and design construction documents detailing project bidding and construction requirements. 4.Conducts team status meetings, guides, mentors, and is a point of contact for any escalations for structured cabling specialists within their group. 5.Serves as a lead on all IS Facilities projects relating to LVC. 6.Assists director with department strategy. 7.Counsels the selection of certified contractors, solicits bid responses, awards and mobilizes construction teams for IS Facilities Projects. 8.Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. 9.Exercises considerable judgement for decision making on complex issues that impact the department, division and system. 10.Works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors. 11.Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
- Minimum 7 years of related experience, required.
- Progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required.
- Experience with AutoCAD, required
Highly Preferred
- 3-5 years of AV installation or support experience in a corporate or healthcare environment.
- Experience supporting executive conference rooms and large-scale events.
- Proficient in installing, configuring, and supporting AV systems: displays, projectors, DSPs, control systems, microphones, and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex).
- Familiarity with signal flow, AV rack wiring, cable management, and system testing tools (e.g., Fluke, TestPro).
- Comfortable interpreting AV drawings and elevations.
- Strong customer service and field troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to train or mentor junior technicians.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed.
- CTS or equivalent AV industry certification is strongly preferred.
