What You Will Do

  • Strengthen the High-Power product engineering organization
  • Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management to align engineering projects with the product roadmap and address technology gaps through a comprehensive technology roadmap
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision across multiple new product development teams
  • Ensure rigorous management of budgets and schedules to meet or exceed business unit requirements and deliverables
  • Translate business segment strategies into actionable engineering plans and effectively guide their execution across the organization
  • Drive strategic initiatives and innovation within the Business Unit by promoting clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and measurable results
  • Oversee risk management, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring engineering activities meet regulatory standards
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally (up to 25% Travel would be realistic)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent suitable experience in the interconnect space
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in high-power automotive interconnects or related industries
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing engineering teams, including senior engineers and supervisors
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex product development projects from concept through launch
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management to align engineering efforts with strategic product roadmaps
  • Strong background in engineering process development, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and tool deployment
  • Proficiency in budgeting, resource planning, and schedule management for engineering projects
  • Understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and quality standards relevant to automotive or similar manufacturing sectors

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master's degree in Engineering, MBA or equivalent post undergraduate degree
  • 5+ Years experience with high voltage electrical connector designs
  • Experience with resins, metals, engineering tools and processes, manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, plating, automated assembly)
  • Established network of contacts across interconnect ecosystem, ranging from OEM to supply base
  • Proven track record of "clean sheet" design to PPAP product development at major US OEMs a plus
