Confidential Waste Technician - JLL

What this job involves: As a Confidential Waste Technician at JLL, you will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at client sites to ensure the secure collection, handling, and disposal of sensitive documents and confidential materials. This role is essential to maintaining compliance with data protection regulations while upholding the highest standards of security and confidentiality. You will be responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of confidential waste from collection through disposal, working closely with clients and service providers to maintain strict chain of custody procedures and ensure seamless operations across multiple locations.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* You will manage the secure collection, handling, and disposal of sensitive documents and confidential materials from designated containers

* You will ensure proper segregation of different waste types including paper and electronic media while processing confidential waste requests via CMMS systems

* You will arrange safe transport of sensitive documents using secure, locked collection bins and coordinate with service providers for pickup/drop-off services

* You will maintain accurate logs of bin locations for both stationary and temporary bins while supporting project-related work and program optimization

* You will interact professionally with clients during collection visits, addressing questions regarding waste disposal procedures

* You will adhere to strict chain of custody procedures and maintain security protocols during collection, transport, and processing

* You will complete required documentation and certificates of destruction while ensuring compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

* You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

* You must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record

* You must have the ability to pass background checks and maintain security clearance

* You must demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures

* You must have excellent organizational and time management skills

* You must have physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods

* You must have manual dexterity for operating equipment and handling materials

Preferred Qualifications:

* You should have previous experience in waste management, logistics, or similar field

* You should have experience with document destruction or confidential waste handling

* You should have knowledge of data protection regulations and security protocols

* You should have experience with CMMS systems and documentation procedures

* You should have familiarity with material handling equipment operations and maintenance

Location: Multiple client locations - St. Paul, MN

Estimated compensation for this position:

20.00 - 24.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
