About the Department and/or College

The Texas Tech University Office of Advancement works with a broad array of university supporters to identify and match opportunities at the university with the interests of donors, ultimately facilitating impact in higher education that leads to endless possibilities. Our professional fundraising team members are responsible for building meaningful relationships with donors through consistent interaction and meaningful visits that move them through the donor cultivation cycle. Texas Tech University recently announced the public phase of its first comprehensive campaign, On & On. The campaign is focused on philanthropic impact in four areas: Transform Lives, Fuel Academic Excellence, Elevate Campus & Community, and Build Champions. The campaign has a goal of raising $1.2B in philanthropic support before August 31, 2028.

Major/Essential Functions

• Assist with planning and organizing select donor engagements, such as, but not limited to donor/scholar meet and greets, select campus tours, and other specialized donor engagements.
• Support donor relations and communications teams to assist in the preparation of Individualized Stewardship Plans to acknowledge and thank principal giving donors.
• Coordinate and manage the development of guest lists for special donor events using the donor database and Microsoft excel to track, organize, and prepare targeted lists for special donor events and engagement opportunities.
• Provide support for donor relations, annual giving, and communications teams in the planning, tracking, and execution of donor stewardship through digital communications, using tools such as ThankView and Anthology.
• Support stewardship efforts of designated programs across campus, fostering and strengthening meaningful donor relationships.
• Assist in the preparation of high-level documentation, strategies and stewardship materials for principal gift prospects and donors.
• Assist in tracking and entering donor engagements and interactions within the donor database, included but not limited to: ThankView engagements, general emails, and event attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in engagement with donors.
• Managing multiple donor stewardship initiatives, engagements, and reports efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in tasks and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
