As a key contributor to our engineering department, you'll optimize production processes to boost efficiency and throughput, enhance product quality through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement, and reduce costs by identifying waste and implementing lean manufacturing techniques. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, and operations teams, and drive innovation in tooling, automation, and process control. Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities - Energized & Impactful

Engineering Solutions & Technical Leadership
  • Deliver cutting-edge manufacturing engineering services for the fabrication, assembly, and integration of complex electro-mechanical systems.

  • Resolve production challenges by collaborating with engineering teams to implement innovative technical solutions.

  • Lead or support engineering efforts across projects of varying size, scope, and complexity.

Process Design & Optimization
  • Develop and maintain production routings and detailed work instructions aligned with engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Assist in crafting efficient production methods, contributing to bids, proposals, and strategic planning.

  • Prepare accurate labor and tooling estimates by analyzing models, sketches, and technical documentation.

Facility & Equipment Strategy
  • Spearhead equipment layout planning to streamline product flow and reduce lead times across assembly operations.

  • Support capital equipment planning, including ROI analysis, procurement requests, and procedural documentation.

  • Ensure all equipment meets operational standards and supports scalable production.

Design for Manufacturability & Product Launch
  • Champion Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to ensure seamless transition from design to production.

  • Drive new product introductions through engineering design reviews and hands-on production implementation.

Continuous Improvement & Efficiency
  • Monitor daily production activities and implement process enhancements to boost operational efficiency.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and Value Stream Mapping to elevate performance metrics.

  • Independently develop creative approaches to solve technical problems and improve workflows.

Technical Expertise & Standards
  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles, standards, and techniques to all aspects of manufacturing.

  • Ensure compliance with established processes and procedures, maintaining high-quality output.

Flexibility & Collaboration
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) to support cross-functional initiatives and on-site engineering needs.

  • Collaborate across departments to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.


Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering).
  • 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a manufacturing environment with focus on mechanical assembly.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Masters and 2 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineering with focus on mechanical assembly.
  • Intermediate SolidWorks knowledge.
  • Ability to design fixtures and tooling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of equipment programming (Laser 3D printing)
  • Hands on operations and manufacturing engineering experienced.
  • Aerospace or Defense Experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and principles.
  • Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Salary Range: Manufacturing Engineer II $78,048 - $117,072; Manufacturing Engineer III $89,755 - $134,633 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
