Position Highlights

The Partnerships Coordinator role will be responsible for the facilitation of campus partnership activities, including asset deliverables, fulfillment tracking, development of current and prospective partner relationships, and the stewardship of partnerships that enhance the university's visibility, reputation, and impact. This position will support the identification, development, and socialization of campus assets through collaboration with campus stakeholders. It will also assist with the day-to-day operations related to the Office of Strategic Partnerships, ensuring the successful implementation of partnership benefits, timely communications, and the organizational maintenance of assets.

Duties & Responsibilities

Partnership Support:

  • Help administer and track the successful implementation of sponsorship commitments by developing a detailed and organized partner-facing tracking system to maintain asset details, asset performance, and contractual compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and other partner-facing materials that communicate value and results.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the Director, ensuring timelines are met and adequate follow-up is provided.
  • Work closely with supervisor to ensure accurate brand alignment for partnership deliverables so that materials, visuals, messaging, and deliverables are consistent and in accordance with the University's brand guidelines.
  • Support the execution of partner-integrated campus activations, signage, marketing materials, and other partnership-related initiatives.

Campus Collaboration:

  • Play a key role in helping to develop relationships across campus stakeholders to encourage partnership collaboration and facilitate the seamless execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Support asset coordination with campus units by helping to collect details on all deliverables, specs and due dates, maintaining open lines of communication to ensure details are up to date and accurate.
  • Help facilitate the delivery of completed sponsor materials to campus units, ensuring the communication is delivered on time and in a professional manner.

Project Management:

  • Support the management of sponsorship tracking by contributing data into the activation dashboards with timelines for each partner to track all sponsorship elements.
  • Work alongside campus stakeholders to monitor the progress of all deliverables to ensure partner receives complete set of contractual obligations.
  • Assist in gathering performance metrics from campus stakeholders to help maintain records and support annual partner recaps.

Strategic Communications:

  • Support relationship-building efforts with external companies and brands by helping share relevant activation details on behalf of campus units.
  • Help gather insights into partners' communication preferences and partnership goals to support a seamless and collaborative engagement experience.
  • Support brand alignment efforts by helping ensure partnership communications are cohesive and accurately reflect the tone, branding, and objectives of both the University and the partner.
  • Work closely with internal creative and brand teams to uphold institutional co-branding requirements.

Department Operations & Administration:

  • Work closely with supervisor to help monitor and communicate sponsorship-related financial activity, including incoming and outgoing payments, in coordination with the Financial Services Office (FSO).
  • Help coordinate operational tasks such as departmental calendaring, payment timelines, and deadline tracking to ensure smooth execution of sponsorship commitments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Knowledge of sponsorship principles, marketing, and audience engagement strategies
  • Ability to maintain organization and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to represent the organization with professionalism in external meetings and events
  • Skill in operating Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Skill in public speaking and delivering professional presentations.
  • Skill in project management and meeting deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • One year of relevant work experience in partnership coordination, marketing, or relationship management.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sponsorship fulfillment and/or activities within a sponsorship department, unit, or organization.
  • Familiarity in the higher education environment is a plus.
  • Ability to work occasional events or weekends for campus events or partner activations.
