JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst provides critical analysis and support to senior management by proactively collecting, monitoring, and studying data and making recommendations that will improve the Company's overall financial condition, playing a key role in the Company's near term performance and long-term growth.

This position requires extensive experience with accounting principles, strong problem-solving skills to address complex financial issues using available tools, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and operating dashboards and reports.

  • Develop and maintain financial models for use in forecasting, bids, and adhoc analysis.

  • Assess financial feasibility of capital projects and new business opportunities through discounted cash flow modeling; NPV, IRR.

  • In support of equipment fleet business lines, analyze total cost of ownership (TCO), monitor utilization rates, track maintenance/repair costs, and support asset management/replacement strategies.

  • Partner with operations to identify cost optimization strategies, improve asset utilization, and facilitate preventive maintenance planning of fleet through data-driven insights.

  • Provide financial support in RFP preparation and contract reviews.

  • Monitor active contracts/work order funding limits; support accurate project set-ups in comformity with contract and invoicing requirements.

  • Collaborate with operations and accounting to optimize working capital management and ensure timely collection from customers.

  • Ensure all accounting and financial activities are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Company policies and procedures.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments within the Company.

  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years relevant experience required.

  • A working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required.

  • Able to communicate effectively with higher levels of management.

  • Intermediate experience with financial modeling and forecasting required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with TM1 and Oracle Cloud preferred

  • Familiarity with MS Power BI or other data visualization tools preferred

  • Experience with Fleet operations and analysis

  • CPA or CFA preferred

  • Oil and Gas or Construction industry experienced preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee's ability to safely meet job standards. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions. In addition, candidates will be required to pass a Fit-for-Duty Exam, complete a background check, and obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
